Flying Pigs

Once upon a time, there was a plate of bacon. There was also a clown that loved bacon more than her own circus. One night, she climbed to the top of the circus tent because she couldn’t fall asleep. And then she saw it. A plate of bacon with wings, flying up and away. She thought quickly, standing up and launching herself off the roof to grab it. She snatched it from the air and her mouth watered as she looked at the perfect, crispy bacon. The second she took a bit, it was heaven. She munched joyously on the meat and soon, the bacon was gone.

Suddenly, a large flock of the flying bacon rushed above her, all flying to the top of a mountain that towered above the circus. Greedily, she plucked the bacon out of the air as quickly as she could and stuffed them in her mouth. Then, she had an idea. If the bacon was all heading to the mountain, they might all lean there and she could capture all of them. But the mountain was far away, so she stole a tightroping bike and a large net from inside the tent. Then she began to furiously pedal to the mountain. But the clown realized she was moving too slowly, so she dumped the bike back into the tent. With the net, she went back on to the top of the tent and put either hand onto a flying plate. Her feet lifted from the circus and she dangled from the two flying plates of bacon, going up, up, to the mountain. When she got there, she let go of the plates and tumbled onto the top of the mountain that towered above her circus. Sadly, she realized that the plates of bacon were all gone and she was stuck on top of the tall, steep mountain all alone. The poor clown still lives there today, reflecting on the fact she had been too greedy and it had gotten her in a terrible situation.
